Hathaway Properties, LLC, added sister company, Hathaway Construction in 2005 for the purpose of managing all construction projects for the Greenville, Michigan development company. The goal was to expedite general contracting by bringing the construction management function in-house. It is the aim of Hathaway Construction to establish a solid reputation by delivering outstanding products on time and within budget.
Hathaway Construction is a full-service contractor that provides design/build, general contracting and construction management for residential, retail/commercial, office and healthcare customers throughout Michigan. Whether it is renovation or new construction, Hathaway Construction’s vision is to emerge as a regional leader in the construction “experience”.
Hathaway Construction is led by experienced project managers and field personnel. The most current management technology systems are used for each project. Robb Constantine, Vice President, graduated from Michigan State University in 1996 with a degree in Building Construction Management. He worked for Fryling Construction prior to his position with Hathaway Construction.
Mr. Constantine was Fryling’s Project Manager for previous Hathaway projects such as the Hathaway Professional Center, The Marketplace, Hathaway Pointe, Edgewater Apartments, Meadow Ridge Apartments and the renovation of the Greenville West Shopping Center.
Likewise, Sean Hart, Superintendent, gained experience with Fryling Construction on Hathaway Projects, before joining forces with Hathaway Properties. Mr. Hart’s strength is that he provides exemplary personal service to each customer. Several other employees complete the team roster as well as a host of quality subcontractors and suppliers.
Hathaway Construction is General Contractor for HathawayGreen, the 159-acre planned unit development south of retail giant, Meijer and Meijer Drive, on Greenville’s west side, off Greenville West Drive. HathawayGreen will have 541 residential units including Townhome Condominiums, Ranch Condominiums, Single-family homes and Apartments. Approximately one third of the acreage will remain as open space. There will be five ponds, several parks, walking trails, abundant pedestrian-friendly spaces, and a swimming pool/clubhouse.
In 2005, its first year of operation, Hathaway Construction completed Greenville projects: Meadow Ridge Apartments, Wyngate Office Center Phase 3, and final build-out of offices and retail space in The Marketplace and Greenville West Shopping Center. Additionally, Hathaway Construction provided the management of two retail projects in greater Grand Rapids.
