Michigan Medical P.C. (MMPC)

MMPC broke ground on the new 15,000-square-foot facility in May of 2009 and plans to move in to their new facility in February of 2010. Landscaping was finished prior to winter so the building will be ready and looking nice in spring. The facility will be the first commercial space in Greenville to receive Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED) certification.

“Not only will the building be technologically advanced, but every single person will be on the same floor,” said Brian Buchanan, foot and ankle specialist for MMPC.

MMPC Director of Operations, Jan Plasman, said, “The new facility was specifically designed with the needs of its patients in mind.” “The patients came first in this design versus many of our other buildings that were constructed around what the physicians ultimately wanted or what they thought was best.” The new MMPC facility will bring depth to the Greenville community.

“Having a single destination, where we can refer patients to a specialist by walking them down the hall, will be a big benefit,” she said. “And of course there's the efficiency that comes from having a group of physicians with a variety of expertise all in the same place.”

The building will house physicians in cardiology, pulmonary, sleep medicine, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, foot and ankle surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics internal medicine, orthopedic surgery and vascular surgery, in addition to primary care physicians.

Many of the MMPC physicians schedule their medical procedures at Spectrum Health United Memorial preferring to keep as many patients in Greenville as possible.

Their new location at 707 S. Greenville West Drive is conveniently located a few blocks west of Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital.
