Life on Golden Pond in a Tree House...That is what we feel like sitting in our four-season room, watching the sun rise through the tree tops, glistening on the water in the backyard of our home at Hawthorne Condominiums.

We had always wanted to build a new house, but somehow, that never occurred. Then we visited Hawthorne Condominiums one afternoon, and our thought process changed. We began to think that we should downsize and SIMPLIFY our lives so that we could do more traveling. We visited the model many times, guided by Chanda, the Hathaway Properties realtor, who answered all of our questions. Chanda explained that we could do whatever we liked to the interior...and in fact, we were “building” our new home. Plus! The exterior maintenance would be totally taken care of. So that’s what we did.

We have lived in Hawthorne Condominiums for two years and enjoy our pond view, evening bike rides and deer feeding. We especially appreciate doing our banking, shopping and exercising, all within walking distance from our home. And, when we return from a long trip with our RV, we don’t have to hurry home to mow the lawn or shovel the driveway.
