    Hathaway Press Release

    METRO HEALTH HEART & VASCULAR

A new consortium of cardiovascular doctors opened an office in the Hathaway Circle Business Park in October of 2009.

Metro Health Heart & Vascular began seeing patients in their new office building in the Hathaway Circle Business Park near Advance Auto Parts on October 12, 2009. The office is staffed by two of six doctors formerly partnered with West Michigan Heart at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, MI. Dr. John Key and Dr. Paul Kovack work between the main hospital in Wyoming, another new office in the MidTowne Village in Grand Rapids and the Greenville Office.

Key said the Greenville office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, offering general cardiology, cardiovascular testing, electrophysiology, cardiac stress tests and blood vessel ultrasounds.

Neither doctor is a stranger to the Greenville community. Kovack has served patients locally since 1996 and Key has worked in the area since 1999. Metro Health President and Chief Executive Officer, Mike Faas, said, “Patients will receive the same quality of care they received from West Michigan Heart at Metro Health.”

Key hopes many of the local patients he and Kovack served with West Michigan Heart will make the move to Metro Health with them. “We expect to grow and hope a large majority of our patients will return,” Key said. “It’s better to provide care locally so people don’t need to drive all the way to Grand Rapids.”
